Why might you need a crown from Southeastern Dental Care? Here are some potential reasons:
A crown is a tooth-shaped cap that fits snugly over your natural tooth to restore its original size and functionality. We can craft your crowns out of beautiful porcelain, a natural-looking material that simulates the look of tooth enamel. It will be made to mimic the crevices and indentations that a natural tooth would have, and they’re always customized to fit with your bite. While other practices require at least two visits to give you a crown, thanks to CEREC technology, we can now repair your tooth in as little as an hour.
Crowns can also be used to hold a fixed bridge in place, providing you with a non-removable and non-surgical tooth replacement option. A bridge consists of one or a few teeth that can fill in a gap. Unlike partial dentures, a bridge can only replace missing teeth in a row, and it’s recommended when the remaining teeth are strong and healthy enough to support crowns. If you do not have enough healthy teeth to support a crown, don’t worry – we can also give you one using dental implants.
If you’re experiencing tooth pain, have suffered an injury, or are missing teeth altogether, contact Southeastern Dental Care as soon as possible for an appointment. Dr. Minh-Phuong Bui and Dr. Le Nguyen will provide you with information about treatment options, including crowns and bridges, and help you find a solution to your discomfort and lack of full function. You’ll also be sure to experience a boost in smile confidence!
